The World Trade Center is being conducted under the auspices of the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure.

The event included the Africa Business Leaders Forum, bringing together investors and specialists to discuss issues, potential investments, and collaboration opportunities between the Middle East and Africa.

The discussions centered around releasing investments in Africa via creative financial solutions and collaborative alliances. Anna Hajduk from the African GreenCo Group led the session, starting off with comments from Ahmed Al Mulla, who serves as the Executive Vice President at Infinity Power. He pointed out Africa’s abundant solar and hydroelectric potential, juxtaposing this against underdeveloped infrastructure that denies more than 600 million individuals access to power.

Morocco’s approach to renewables has been heralded as a successful blueprint. During her discussion, Fatima Zahra Khalifa, who serves as the General Manager of Cluster ENR at Morocco’s Climate Innovation Centre, highlighted the Xlinks initiative. This venture is focused on producing up to 10 gigawatts of green power destined for export to the United Kingdom.

Multiple new products were presented at the expo, featuring Kirloskar Oil Engines Ltd.’s compact Optiprime dual-core generator (1,000 kVA), which stands out as the most diminutive option in its category, alongside their Sentinel range designed for smaller applications.

Mark Ring, the Energy Exhibitions Director at Informa Markets, stated that this year’s event was the biggest and most successful yet, featuring unprecedented levels of participation, significant new product releases, and the inaugural Battery Show—which will be even bigger when it returns in 2026.
